Sky News Plan European 3D TV Channel For October 2010

Sky plan to launch a groundbreak 3D TV service for consumers in October 2010. The 3D Channel will be Europe’s first 3D channel has an impressive line up for home viewers who have invested in 3D ready television sets.
The Sky 3D channel will launch with 3D blockbuster movies that include Alice in Wonderland, Ice Age and Harry Potter. Sky has come to an agreement with Disney, Fox, Universal, Warner Bros, Paramout and DreamWorks to air the most demanded movies in 3D. The lineup itself will continue to expand.
In addition to major Hollywood blockbusters, Sky will be showcasing major upcoming sporting events in 3D. The launch date of the channel is planned to coincide with the popular Ryder Cup. The channel will also include many major Premier League football clashes.

Following hot on the heels of the success of 3D cinema, Sky customers will now be the first anywhere in Europe to experience 3D TV from the comfort of their living rooms.
